Designed by Chris Carter
Chris Carter brings more than three decades of industrial design experience to Maru, blending sculptural simplicity with everyday comfort. Inspired by an abstract sculpture he created to evoke feelings of protection, calm, and connection, Carter designed Maru to feel inviting both visually and physically. The result is a lounge collection rooted in softness, human experience, and lasting performance.
“The inspiration for Maru came from a sculpture shaped around comfort, softness, and the feeling of being held.”
